Workshop: Cryptic crosswords - juggling practice for poets with Robyn Sykes

  • Haig Park, near Lonsdale St 20 Girrahween St Braddon, ACT, 2612 Australia (map)

As writers, we juggle words, ideas and perspectives in our quest for originality. Cryptic crosswords are to writers what juggling practice is to circus performers. Join performance poet and host of Binalong's 'Brush with Poetry' Robyn Sykes to learn how cryptic crosswords can pump energy into your writing, stimulate both creativity and logic, and help us think in different ways.

Bring writing materials and an open mind! This workshop will be outdoors, so bring sun protection too. In case of bad weather, the workshop may shift to Monday 5 April - participants will be advised.

This workshop will follow a Poets’ Breakfast with open mic from 10am - for all the details check out the program listing HERE.

$10/$5 - bookings essential

Robyn Sykes is a widely published writer of poetry, fiction and non-fiction who loves playing with words. She discovered the power of cryptic crosswords at her father’s knee. Robyn lives and works in Binalong, NSW, where she coordinates A Brush with Poetry.
