Come for a Poet’s Breakfast with open mic at Haig Park on Easter Saturday. Our host, performance poet and writer Robyn Sykes, is bringing Binalong's A Brush with Poetry on tour!
Are you going to miss your dose of poets’ breakfasts at the National Folk Festival this Easter? Or have you never gotten up early for poetry? Join us at the civilised time of 10am for poetry, coffee and conversation.
Bring your best bush ballad, urban ode or suburban sonnet to share. Sign up from 9.30am. There will be coffee available for delivery from a local cafe, breakfast snacks available to purchase, and maybe even some tunes when the poetry is done…
After breakfast, at 1.30pm, Robyn will deliver her fascinating workshop ‘Cryptic Crosswords, juggling practice for poets’. For more details and how to register, see the program listing HERE.
In the case of bad weather, this event will move to Monday 5 April.
Poet’s Breakfast will happen in Haig Park, Braddon, near the path that runs north from the end of Lonsdale Street.
Entry is free. Booking is not required but attendees will be asked to check in with the Check In Canberra app.
